It is not clear whether the function should be called directly or through method=mvar in the main freqanalysis. Furthermore, the options are not documented

reopened because the cfg options are not listed and it is still not clear how this one relates to ft_freqanalysis. I also suggest to have a "See also" section. Other inconsistencies in the code (depending on whether it is called by ft_freqanalysis with method=mvar or not) are that it does not do the usual config tracking, ft_defaults, checkdata, time keeping and all that stuff.
