The if-statements in lines 140 and 141 are never satisfied with 'hasdata' as they are inside a section of code that is ~hasdata (see lines 117 and 130). Can the 'trialinfo' and 'sampleinfo' be retained in the output 'data' if they exist in 'comp'? (i.e. there aren't any theoretical objections to retaining them?) If so, then perhaps enter them in as the 'grad' and 'elec' fields are, in lines 147/8?
