http://fieldtrip.fcdonders.nl/getting_started/brainvision Add more to this section, including what may be similar or different between FT and BrainVision Analyzer, what preprocessing steps of Analyzer software can be (or not) imported to FT. Also, (separate bug?) are there any preprocessing steps done in Analyzer that FT may want to include? One suggestion from a toolkit participant was the eye-blink removal done in a manner akin to average artifact subtraction. I don't know the details of how this is done in Analyzer.

try to get input from the user-community to compile what people would like to have added. Jorn will take the initiative here. Let's see where it ends.

I could send the mail now, but since I do not receive mails from the mailinglist right now (bug 1487), I rather postpone it a bit

after the numerous replies received from the community, there needs to be a change of plans. new plan: - Check the mailinglist, identify potential questions/answers specific to brainvision. - Contact people using brainvision and ask for their help. Preferably people that received help from me before (in the line of 'Hello Mr. X, I helped you a while ago, now I need your help - can you do my homework for me?')

I just searched the FT mailing list - there seems to be no hard problems. stuff for the getting started guide: what file to read in - .vhdr, .eeg .vmrk? use .eeg manual renaming can result in issues, use http://code.google.com/p/eeg-renamer/ instead (Paul Czienskowski) Filtersettings of BVA hard to mimic (Mark Noordenbos, no answer yet) what units after being read in, see bug 1403 (units stay in micro V) order of preprocessing steps (has to be done manually in BVA, whereas fixed in FT)
