Found during toolkit. This is unpractical, as NaNs will always be plotted at the center of the colorscale, giving the illusion there is data where there is none. This was already the case from 2012? There is a cfg.maskstyle option, but it is never used (i.e. in the call to ft_plot_matrix, maskstyle = highlight is hard-coded). Might be the case in other plotting functions too.
