Turns out that the datasets (also the Subject01 etc) are not anonimous. They have to be anonimized and rezipped. I have just checked /home/common/matlab/fieldtrip/data/ftp/example, all is OK there. The directory /home/common/matlab/fieldtrip/data/ftp/tutorial still needs to be done.
